WHY YOU?

Because It’s Time To Live Again!

Allowing the pain of the other way to lead to understanding and a life far better than you deserve

Something in that question brought you here.
Maybe because, deep down, everyone asks it.
Why did I do it? Why did it happen to me? It was real. It was horrible. It was wrong. Why this story, these struggles, these longings?

And, whatever it was, though we may not know each other, I’m so, so sorry that you were hurt. Either it should never have happened to you, dear one, or the one you loved, or, you now know that you never should have done it.

Yet still, the question remains: why you?

Can I tell you why? As real as it was, it’s time for all that hurt, confusion, and pain—or, if good, all the privilege and abundance life has given—to work for good—so that you can live again.

Most Never Realize There’s Another Way
We were each formed to live in a certain way but not a lot of people realize that they’re choosing to navigate life by the other way. Many think nothing of their way of living; others don’t even know there’s another way—until the pain of their way forces them to check their standing—not to hurt, shame, or scare them, but, ultimately, so they can seek life and pursue it.

Whether you’re a man or a woman, whether you believe in God, think you know God (or even think you’re God), whether you’re angry or afraid of God, don’t believe in God, don’t care, or just hate God—if your reality hasn’t turned out the way you imagined, or if it has—until it’s quiet and something’s still missing—then please keep reading.

How the Other Way Became Normal
A lot of our misunderstanding and pain—even if we say we believe—is because we’re still not hearing God. We’re really hearing human knowledge while assuming we’re hearing divinity. We’re really trusting human understanding while thinking we’re trusting God’s.

We’re not realizing that the two are not the same. God has His own perspective, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding—and each of us has our own.

And someone said we could live by our own.

Estranged by Assumption
But instead of seeking God and hearing Him for ourselves, sometimes we, or the people we’ve trusted, have mistaken human understanding for God’s understanding and lived by it. And the result? Frustration. Dissatisfaction. Regret. Death. Shades of gray. A trail of tears. Oh—and God is shunned and misjudged for something He really had no say over.

And if you’ve lived long enough, you’ve known the helpless feeling of being misjudged and shunned because they just believed what they heard without checking with you to see if it was true.

This is where God is and it’s not a happy place to be in—especially when everyone outside is dying for what He has and for what He gave—even before we sensed something was missing. Before we called, He’d already given His Word—so that we could live again!

Whether we meant it or not, we’ve done this with God—shunned Him, misjudged Him; didn’t take the time to seek His understanding. And His heart breaks for our loss.

What Assumption Hides, Hearing Reveals
But, while you have ears to hear, He doesn’t hold it against you. And no matter where you are or what you’ve done to yourself or anybody else, He’ll still forgive you and He’ll still help you. He already gave His Word to prove it.

His Word has been working overtime, fighting for you! And if you’re brave enough to hear Him for yourself, instead of assuming you already know, you’ll finally understand the one thing He’s been trying to tell you. He’ll give you His understanding and if you keep it, and don’t let it go, no matter where you are, you’ll have peace, and joy, and a life far better than you deserve.

If you knew the backstory, you would not lie down and die outside

See, it’s all about the word: the word of the Creator vs. the word of the created.

The real question we’re all proving is who gets to say what “live” (or any word) means—you, you and God, or God alone? Or, to put it another way: created beings, created beings and the Creator, or just the Creator?

Wait! Wait! Don’t run yet! If you want to run, run with good understanding. That’ll make the difference—not running with the other one.

For 25+ years I read the KJV Bible and loved it. Still do. There’s no greater book out there. I studied it, noticing its rhythms, its patterns, its phrases, but couldn’t understand the significance of His truth. Why was God always identifying Himself as the only LORD God? What difference did it make if I knew who He is and what He’d done? How could that single thing be relevant to both our ancient ancestors, me, and everyone else around me? Out of all the themes to repeat and illustrate and chronicle in the roughly 1,500 years it took to write the Bible, why was this theme, evidently, the one most important to Him

And, if all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and since He wanted to save everyone in every generation, shouldn’t He have had more to say to them about the gospel? Why say so much to them about their standing in relation to Him? About returning and choosing and forsaking and keeping—like if they didn’t, it would matter? Why not just tell them to believe in their heart and confess with your mouth and they’d be saved? A double standard? I didn’t understand—but I kept reading.

Then, in book after book after book in the Bible’s Old and New Testament, I finally heard Him! I heard the consistent cry of God’s heart—that we all would know and believe and understand that He is the King of the universe, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the One who spoke and it was done, the One whose word is with power, the only LORD God, judge and lawgiver, and the sole source of life.

He sees us. He created us to live, but by choosing to live “as gods, knowing good and evil,” we must always be without Him—which makes life impossible. He knows that many do not know what they’re doing, and yet He still loves us and longs for us to know and love Him, to trust Him and return to Him.

We are not accidents or afterthoughts; we are royalty, created by God to live in Him in this life and the next!

Now I understood His message and His urgency: from God’s perspective and according to God’s definition, we’re not all in Him and before our time’s up—when we lose our ability to hear Him—He’s calling all outside of and without Him who hear His voice to return to Him, to believe in Him again—and live

And He’s calling all who have believed in Him, to keep believing in Him, to not stop following His word but to grow in the grace found only in Him, to continue walking in all of His light—so that when He returns, each of us will have the evidence of authenticity, the sign that we truly are in Him, because He is in us.

He will never leave us or forsake us—He knows we need Him to live, but He can’t force any to keep His sign, His law, His word—and He can’t save any without it—even if, by human judgment, they appear to be in Him.

If you knew the backstory, you would not lie down and die outside of Him—you would want to live and you would live in Him again—because you would be whole again. And, this time, you’d gladly hear and obey His voice and deny your self before being deceived into again believing that you could ever deny Him and live without Him, His Spirit, and His Word.

Taking a holistic approach to physical, mental, and spiritual renewal

God is love. He is the Creator of heaven and earth, of you, dear one, and of me. He is passionate about helping people transform their lives for the good through the power of His understanding and by the lifestyle choices we choose to make.

His journey toward our holistic restoration began before our departure from wholeness. He saw us from the beginning. He knew us before He formed us in our mother’s belly. Even before our cry reached His tender, fatherly heart, His pre-established plan to lead us back to health was already in motion.

Observing the fruitful outcomes of hearing + doing according to the word

From God’s perspective, before humanity became sick, we were well. Before we were broken, we were whole, healthy and alive. This wasn’t because of our human understanding or our self-love but because of God’s love and understanding at work for us—and in us.

By His indwelling Spirit, God was in us and we were in God. We were not God nor was God us, yet, together, God and man were one Spirit. That’s how God saw it. His Spirit searched the deep things of God and, revealing them to us, worked in us to will and to do all the things that pleased God.

God had our heart and we had His. God served us, hearing and answering our prayers, and we served God, hearing and doing as He asked. Because God was in us, we were in Him. We knew God and God knew us. That’s how God saw it. This was to be our reality forever.

Because His Spirit was our guiding light, every choice we made was in harmony with God and, therefore, with life. And since we yielded to God by obeying His Word, He ruled over us and His Spirit remained in us.  Everywhere we went, God was with us. His Spirit was our constant Helper. And, joined with His Spirit, we were whole: spirit, body, and mind.

Understanding the meaning of being within or without God

God is the Creator. He, Himself, is life, the sole Source of life. All life comes from Him. He is the bread of life, the wellspring of water that never runs dry.

He is like the sun and we are like the moonreflecting His light, the light of the sun, not our own.

God, the Word of God is the vine attached to the root and we are the branches and have no root in ourselves. In order for us to live, we must stay connected to Him, the vine. We must abide in Him. If we don’t, we can’t help but to wither and die.

The Sprit of God is man’s only connection to the Creator. As God sees it, if His Spirit is in any person, that person is alive because they are in God. But if His Spirit is not in any person, that man or that woman is deadeven though still physically alive, because they are without God.

From God’s perspective, every person is either in Him or without Him.

The LORD God is on a mission to get everyone to stop letting go of His Gift—because we need His Spirit to live. And He wants us to live.

Sharing a lost way essential for whole-person renewal

The way we lived and moved and had our being

Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men

But, at the Tree, God’s enemy got everyone to walk by sight. Now we were empty. We were broken: body and mind but without Spirit. Because we gave up His Spirit, we were now without God. That’s how God saw us. And this would be our reality forever.

How do we abide in God? How do we get into Hm and He into us?

From God’s perspective, before humanity became sick, we were well. Before we were broken, we were whole, healthy and alive. This wasn’t because of our human understanding or our self-love but because of God’s love and His understanding working for us.

By His indwelling Spirit, God was in us and we were in God. We were not God nor was God us, yet we were one Spirit. His Spirit searched the deep things of God and, revealing them to us, worked in us to will and to do all the things that pleased God.

From God’s perspective, before humanity was without Him and became spiritually sick, we were in Him and were well.

From God’s perspective, before all of humanity became blind, deaf, dead, filthy, and without Him, we could see, we could hear, we were alive, clean, and in Him. God’s call is simple: return to Me and I will return to you. I will give you rest.
